We do not just hand you a scribbled "check
off" report as we leave.
We return to our office, write the report,
add photos and then, if you wish, we will sit down with
you and review the
printed report , in person, so you understand
everything in the report. Our report covers all aspects of a home, from attic to
basement and the surrounding yard.
We look at literally hundreds of systems & sub-systems that effect the home. Our inspections last from 2 - 3 hours or more if need be. Because we spend the time necessary to inspect each home, we schedule no more than 2 inspections per day. We will not be looking at our watch rushing your inspection because we have to be 25 miles away in an hour. This means that when you book Cedar Hill for your inspection, we will be there, on time, for your inspection.
Cedar Hill works for you, our client. We perform the inspection for your use and
education. We
will make sure you have a good understanding of the home you are purchasing. We
are not done with the inspection until you are satisfied. We encourage you to
accompany us during the inspection, and ask questions. Remember, no question is
"dumb".
There is no "pass or fail"
on our home inspections.
All to often some will say "the home inspection failed" or "did the inspection
pass?" Cedar Hill does not approach home inspections in this way. That is not what we do. We identify
areas of concern as well as attributes of the home. To coin a phase "We
report... You decide"
Cedar Hill now offers Infrared Thermographic inspections
What is an InfraRed Thermographic inspection? What
is Thermography?
Here are some examples of what InfraRed Thermography can "see"..

The photo on the left shows missing insulation, the visible image in the center does not indicate an issue... The thermographic image on the right shows water infiltration..
